Deborah Kay "Debbie"  Hartmann
Lifelong resident of Alamosa Deborah Kay Hartmann, 69 passed away peacefully August 10, 2017 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa. Deborah was born in Alamosa, February 9, 1948 the daughter of Thomas Cureton Janes and Mildred Charlotte Payne. She married Ronald Warren Hartmann on July 5, 1973 in Provo, Utah where their marriage was sealed for all time and eternity in the Provo Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have enjoyed 44 years together.

Deborah is most remembered as a dog groomer at Debbie’s Dog Grooming in Alamosa. Her love of animals is legendary. In fact, it could be said that she never met an animal that she didn’t like. Although as a dog groomer she did have occasional disagreements with some. She took care of many dogs and cats as pets and kept a sizable company of chickens and rabbits through the years. Her big heart, compassion and forgiveness along with a passion to never hurt any living thing was an inspiration to all those around her.

Deborah held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she especially liked to work with children. She is survived by her mother Mildred Martin, 96 of Alamosa, Her half sister Linda Goldson of Kentucky, her husband Ronald Hartmann, 69 of Alamosa, her son Michael Hartmann, 41 of Alamosa, and her two grandsons Erich Hartmann, 5 and Connor Hartmann, 3 as well as numerous cousins and an extended family. She will be dearly missed by them all.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. A second visitation will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in the Relief Society Room, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., both at the Alamosa Fourth Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 927 Weber St., in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
